A milestone birthday. A divorce. A fiftieth. A move she has been circling for two years. These are the occasions where the usual objects fail — because what she needs is not another thing for the house, and because “thinking of you” does not survive contact with a hard year.
This is twelve or twenty-four typeset pages about who she is, computed from the day, the hour and the place she was born, and written to her by name. It arrives as a document she keeps. Several of our readers have had theirs bound.
You do not need to know her birth time, or the hospital, or the town. You only need her name and an email address.
One. You choose the commission.
The Record at $89, The Commission at $129, or The Complete House at $249. Most gift buyers choose The Commission or above, because the pages she came for are in the second half. You pay, and that is the end of your part.
Two. She supplies the three facts.
We send her a card — printed and posted, or by email if the occasion is closer than the post will manage — carrying a private link. Behind that link is a short form asking for her birth date, the hour, and the place. Nothing else. She will not see a price and she will not be asked to pay for anything.
Three. We write it and send it.
Within two working days of her supplying the details. To her, or to you to give her — you choose at checkout. If you have chosen a date, we will hold it until then.
If the occasion is close. The document cannot be produced until she has given us her birth details, and that part is outside our hands. If you are ordering within a week of the date, choose the emailed card — it arrives immediately, she can fill in the form the same evening, and the document follows within two working days.
If she does not know her birth time. She will be told what that costs her, plainly, on the form, and the commission you chose still stands — the document names what is missing rather than skipping over it. If she finds the hour later, write to us and we will reissue at no charge. We will not send her a document with a guessed hour in it and let you both find out later.
